We went back to Fort Madison, Iowa to the Iowa High School Rodeo finals, where C.D.B was to partisipate. She was setting No. 1 in the state for Goat tying and also had qualified for Barrels and Brake-away-roping. She did real great, coming in first in the goat tying and also qualified for the Nationals in break-away-roping. She will compete in Formington, New Mexico in July for those two events. We will, of course, be there to cheer her on.
We witnessed the terrible flooding that was taking place on the Mississippi river and at Ft. Madison, the bridge there is a double decker with the train track on the bottom, and the train track was almost to be flooded over, and the river had not crested when we left there.
On the way to Kansas City to get on the airplane, we had to detour several miles to get around the washed out roads. Spent about 48 hours in the airports and airplanes just to get home...Keep in touch...Lonehawk
